Before getting into this, a quick note on how it was put together. Every city was verified through actual Airbnb searches for a mid April to mid June stay. Not winter. Not the cheapest possible dates. A realistic spring window most people would actually travel in. Everything is close to the city center. No hostels, no shared rooms, no cheating. These are real numbers.

Brasov, Romania

20. Gdansk, Poland Baltic Sea city with one of the most visually distinctive old towns in Poland. Less on the nomad radar than Krakow or Warsaw, which keeps the prices honest and the streets genuinely manageable. Studio or one bedroom in spring comes in under $1,000.

19. Tbilisi, Georgia Keeps showing up on lists like this because it keeps delivering. 365 day visa free for most nationalities, European standard infrastructure, and a cost of living that is hard to match anywhere else on this continent. Well located one bedroom often sits well under that number.

18. Thessaloniki, Greece Greece’s second city and arguably its most livable. Better food scene than Athens, a waterfront promenade, and none of the tourist pricing. The large student population keeps the energy young and the costs honest.
